The University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya (USTM) is a pioneering private university located in Baridua, situated at the Assam-Meghalaya border. Established in 2011 and sponsored by ERD Foundation, Guwahati, USTM holds the distinction of being the first state private university in Science & Technology for North East India.

The university has achieved significant recognition, receiving an 'A Grade' accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2021. USTM offers an extensive academic portfolio with 122 academic programs across 27 departments, serving a diverse student body of over 6,500 students and supported by more than 1,500 faculty and staff members.
