1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of profsam.com and our related products and services, including the TNEA Cutoff Calculator, TNEA Cutoff Analyser and Reports, the TNEA Colleges directory, the bilingual TNEA Guide at tnea.profsam.com, ScoreLab at scorelab.profsam.com, our consultation bookings, the sponsor program, the blog, and the Concept Quick Starts (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Who We Are
Prof Sam is an education-guidance brand focused on helping Indian students, parents, and educators make informed engineering and higher-education decisions, with a particular focus on Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA). References to "we," "our," or "us" mean Prof Sam.
3. Use of the Services
You agree to use the Services only for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes. You will provide accurate information when using the Cutoff Calculator, Cutoff Analyser, ScoreLab, consultation forms, or sponsor enquiry forms. You will not scrape, resell, or republish our college data, cutoff datasets, or reports without prior written consent.
4. TNEA Cutoff Reports & Predictions
Cutoff predictions, college shortlists, branch recommendations, and admission probabilities generated by the Cutoff Calculator, Cutoff Analyser, and Cutoff Reports are estimates based on historical TNEA data, publicly available counselling information, and our domain expertise. They are intended as guidance only and are not a guarantee of admission. Final allotments depend on official counselling rules, seat availability, community/category reservations, your option entry, and decisions made by Anna University, the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), and individual institutions.
5. Sponsor Program & Sponsored Reports
Certain reports and tools may be offered free of charge through our sponsor program, where a partner college or institution underwrites the cost of delivery. If you opt in to a sponsored report, you acknowledge that your contact details and basic academic profile may be shared with the disclosed sponsor for admissions-related outreach. Sponsorship does not influence our cutoff data, methodology, or college rankings; sponsor identity is disclosed on the relevant form or report.
6. Consultations & ScoreLab
Paid and free consultations booked through Prof Sam are educational guidance sessions. We share data, frameworks, and personal advice but do not act as an agent of any institution and cannot guarantee any specific outcome. ScoreLab is an interactive scoring and prep tool; results are indicative and meant to support, not replace, your own preparation and decision-making.
7. Third-Party Data & Links
Some content references official sources such as Anna University, DoTE, AICTE, UGC, and individual college websites. We work to keep this information accurate but it may change without notice. Always verify critical details (fees, eligibility, seat matrix, counselling dates) on the relevant official portal. Links to third-party sites (including scorelab.profsam.com, tnea.profsam.com, and sponsor websites) are provided for convenience and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
8. Intellectual Property
The Prof Sam name, logo, website design, written content, blog posts, Concept Quick Starts, TNEA reports, datasets, methodologies, and software are owned by Prof Sam (or our licensors) and are protected by copyright and other applicable laws. You may view and share links to our content for personal, non-commercial use. Republishing, redistributing, or building derivative commercial products from our data or reports is prohibited without written permission.
9. User Submissions
Information you submit through our forms (Cutoff Calculator, Cutoff Analyser, contact, booking, sponsor enquiry, ScoreLab) must be accurate and your own. You grant us a limited licence to use this information to deliver the requested service and improve our products, subject to our Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the data shown will always be current or complete.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prof Sam will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of admissions, scholarships, opportunities, profits, or data, arising from your use of or reliance on the Services. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) for the specific Service giving rise to the claim in the preceding twelve months.
12. Privacy
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and how we use it.
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
