Sharda University is a private university located in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, established in 2009 under the Uttar Pradesh State Legislature Act No.14 of 2009. The university is recognized by the University Grants Commission and is part of the Sharda Group of Institutions, founded by Pradeep Kumar Gupta and Yatendra Kumar Gupta.

The university offers an extensive range of academic programs, with over 135 undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and Ph.D. programs across 12 disciplines. Students can choose from a wide variety of courses including B.Tech, BBA, MBA, MCA, LLM, and many more. The university has a diverse international student body, with students from over 95 countries, creating a multicultural learning environment.

Sharda University boasts a comprehensive campus spread over 63 acres, featuring extensive facilities that make it almost like a self-contained town. The institution has established nearly 300 functional Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) that benefit students and faculty. With approximately 1,100 highly qualified faculty members, the university is committed to providing quality education and helping students achieve their academic and professional goals. The university has also expanded its reach internationally, with sister campuses in Agra and Uzbekistan, and has gained recognition for its academic achievements, including having 11 faculty members listed among the top 2% of scientists worldwide by Stanford University in 2024.

The university adopts special measures to ensure that the students are provided with healthy and hygienic food. There are about 10 cafeterias located in different blocks of the campus. Apart from cafeterias, the campus also holds mini refreshment joints and Vending Machines etc. Sagar Ratna, Amul Milk Parlour, Bikano, Café Coffee Day, Nestle are already running their outlets on the campus. Lego House is a casual dining restaurant serving Fast Food preparations in Sharda University Campus.

A healthy mind resides in a healthy body. A well equipped Air-conditioned gym having latest state-of-art equipment and machines has ensured availability of excellent fitness and health facilities for the students, faculty and staff members of the University. Instructors and trainers are available throughout the day to train the gym enthusiasts. There are two sections in the gymnasiums. One section is meant for general exercises while the other is meant for weight training. There are separate timings for boys and girls.

The university provides accommodation to students on a first-come-first-served basis. The hostel offers excellent lodging and boarding facilities to cater to the needs of both male and female students. A wide range of cultural, athletic and social activities are conducted for the merriment of the students. In addition to the various campus hubs of interaction, the common rooms in every hostel are popular for everyday get-togethers.

University provides state of the art laboratory facilities to its students, faculty, and staff for carrying out teaching, research, and practical activities. The University has dedicated labs for various disciplines of engineering, medical, dental sciences and mass communication. These laboratories provide practical exposure to multiple subjects and give an opportunity to the students to experiment with what they have learned in classrooms.

The library is housed in spacious halls, the Libraries are well stocked with textbooks, technical journals, periodicals, and reference material for advanced research and development work. Library facilities include a subscription to DELNET and other internet libraries.

The University runs a fleet of buses to facilitates its students and staff to commute to and from various places in Delhi, Noida and other NCR areas. All buses are deluxe and high capacity. The University provides transportation from villages as well as cities. The transport facility is provided within a radius of 90 km.
