Sant Baba Bhag Singh University is a private university located in Padhiana, Punjab, established through the Punjab Government Act No. 6 of 2015. The university was founded as a dream project of revered saints including Sant Baba Bhag Singh Ji, Sant Baba Hardyal Singh Mussafir Ji, and Sant Baba Malkit Singh Ji, with a noble vision of providing higher education to rural students who might not otherwise have access to educational opportunities.

The university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2(F) of the UGC Act, 1956, and has been certified with ISO 9001:2015 quality standards. Its founding vision was to create an educational pathway that begins with primary education and progressively advances through secondary and higher education, ultimately establishing a comprehensive university to serve the local community.

Sant Baba Malkit Singh Ji, the Founder Chancellor, was particularly committed to supporting poor rural students by creating an accessible higher education institution.
