People's University is a private university situated in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. Established on 4 May 2011 through the Madhya Pradesh Niji Vishwavidyalay (Sthapana Ewam Sanchalan) Sanshodhan Adhiniyam, 2011, the university has quickly developed a diverse range of academic offerings across multiple disciplines.

The university comprises several constituent institutes that cover a wide spectrum of educational programs. These include the People's College of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, People's College of Dental Sciences & Research Centre, School of Research & Technology, People's Institute of Management & Research, People's Institute of Hotel Management, School of Pharmacy & Research, People's College of Paramedical Science and Research Centre, and People's College of Nursing & Research Centre.

People's University has demonstrated active engagement with contemporary challenges, as evidenced by its partnerships and responses to significant events. For instance, the university collaborated with Shuzlan Energy to electrify its campus and maintained academic continuity during the COVID-19 pandemic by hosting virtual events like the Teachers' Day celebration. The institution has also been recognized by state educational authorities and has been part of strategic planning initiatives in higher education in Madhya Pradesh.

Each college of the university has separate technical and research labs. University has 95 technical labs and 31 research labs in total pertaining to medical sciences, dental sciences, engineering labs, hotel management labs etc.

The Library with its modern collection of information resources and innovative information services plays a vital role in the intellectual pursuits of PIMR’s academic community. Library holds a rich collection of printed as well as electronic resources which include books, journals, databases, audio-visual materials, CDs, e-journals, annual reports of top companies, case studies, conference proceedings, training manuals, etc. University comprising of more than 3000 books of all disciplines including Medical, Dental, Engineering, Paramedical, Law, Media Studies and Life Sciences. The library has a wide variety of 5046 books, 67 research projects, 27 national journals and 10 international journals.

University provides the bus facilities for the students who live far from the college or don’t have means to arrive college on time and back to their residence. The bus facility connects each and every local area of Bhopal through various routes even the buses communicate the areas outside of Bhopal.

People's University has three huge open playgrounds for sports like cricket and football. There are three basketball courts, one sports stadium, seven badminton courts, thirteen table tennis tables and four volleyball courts.
