Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education (NICHE) is a private co-educational institution located in Kumarakovil, Thuckalay, Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu, India. Founded in 1989 by A.P. Majeed Khan, the institution was declared a Deemed to be University by the Ministry of Human Resource Development on December 8, 2008, and is now run by the Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education Society.

The university has received significant academic recognition, being approved by the University Grants Commission and the All India Council for Technical Education. It has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and awarded an overall 'A' Grade. As of 2017, NICHE was ranked 544th among 819 universities in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework.

NICHE offers a comprehensive academic environment with seven Schools of Excellence and follows a merit-based admission process through its yearly Noorul Islam Entrance Exam. The institution provides merit-based scholarships and has received multiple recognitions, including being certified as an ISO 9001:2000 institution. Its programs are recognized by various accreditation boards, including the International Accreditation Organization (USA), NBA New Delhi, and the Institute of Engineers (India).

Located on the rocky face of Velimalai in the Western Ghat hills, the campus is strategically positioned near historical and cultural landmarks. It is situated 4.9 km from Padmanabhapuram, the former capital of Travancore, and just 15 km from Nagercoil, the district headquarters of Kanyakumari. The institution has also been recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India in 2008.
