Indira Gandhi University (IGU) is a state university located in Village Meerpur, Rewari, Haryana, India. Established under Haryana Act No.29 of 2013, the university officially began functioning on September 13, 2013, after initially serving as a Post Graduate Regional Centre of Maharishi Dayanand University since 1988.

The university campus spans approximately 100 acres of rural land, situated about 13 kilometers from Rewari and 300 kilometers from Chandigarh. Its academic jurisdiction covers two districts: Mahendragarh and Rewari. IGU offers a comprehensive range of academic programs across 14 diverse faculties, including Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Education, Law, Commerce, Management, Engineering, Technology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Sports Science.
