Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya (BPSMV) is a government institution located in Khanpur Kalan, Sonepat, Haryana. The university has a rich historical legacy dating back to 1919, when the visionary Bhagat Phool Singh ji first conceived the idea of empowering women through education. What began as a small Kanya Gurukul with just three girls in 1936 has now grown into a comprehensive university serving approximately 10,000 female students.

On August 18, 2006, the university was formally established through an act of the Haryana Legislature, consolidating several existing educational institutions including BPS Memorial Girls College, BPS College of Education, MSM Ayurvedic College, BPS Mahila Polytechnic, TIG Bhainswal Kalan, and PSD Girls' Law College. The university is committed to blending traditional Indian values with modern educational approaches, offering a wide range of academic programs across multiple domains of knowledge.

BPSMV has been recognized for its societal impact through various centers like the Centre for Society University Interface and Research (CSUIR), Centre for Indic-Asian Studies (CIAS), and Department of Social Work.
