Akal University is a private university located in Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda, Punjab. Established in 2015 under The Akal University Act, 2015 (Punjab Act No. 25 of 2015), the university was approved by the State Government in March 2015 and officially inaugurated on 17 July 2015.

Akal University has a unique vision rooted in its historical context. The university is situated in a location with significant historical importance, where Guru Gobind Singh Ji once stayed and finalized the compilation of Guru Granth Sahib. The institution aims to help students discriminate between valuable and superficial aspects of life. Since its inception, more than 700 students have graduated, with many pursuing careers in the social sector.
