We're going to cut through the noise and give you the key facts. So, let's kick things off with a really important quality signal for this institution. AVS College of Technology is a self- financing college and it holds a Knack Agrade. That Agrade is a pretty significant credential, especially for a private engineering college and it tells you a lot about their standards right from the get Go. Okay, first things first. Let's really nail down the core identity of AVS College of Technology. You know, understanding these basics is the very first step to figuring out if it's the right place for you. So, here are the foundational facts laid out. Av Tech is a private co-ed engineering college and it's located in the Salem district. The really crucial part here is its affiliation with Anna University, Chennai. What does that mean for you? Well, it means you'll be following the university's wellestablished curriculum and their examination system. So, how do you get a seat here? The main route is through the state's TNEA counseling, and it's really important to understand the split. 65% of the seats are filled through the government quota. That's all based on your merit and reservation, while the other 35% fall under the management quota. All right, now that we've got the basics down, let's dive into the academic heart of the college. We're talking about its accredititation and of course, the actual engineering programs it has on offer. Yeah, we mentioned this just a moment ago, but it's absolutely worth repeating. The college is accredited by Knack with an A grade. Just to give you a little more context, this is based on a score of 3.06 out of four. This grade isn't just a sticker. It's a significant independent seal of approval on the college's overall quality. Now, let's look at what you can actually study here. What really jumps out is the heavy, heavy focus on tech. You've got 120 seats each in computer science, IT, and the big one right now, AI and data science. This tells me the college is really trying to align its programs with what the industry is demanding today. And of course, alongside these, you've still got the core branches like ECE and mechanical, plus a pretty specialized program in agricultural engineering. So, if you add it all up across all seven of those engineering programs, the college has an approved intake of 600 students for the year. And this brings us to what might be the most important question for every single student and their family. After four years of hard work and investment, what are the career outcomes? Let's take a look at the place. data. The college reports a 98% placement rate. Now, this is a self-reported number from their official TNEA data. For any family thinking about the major investment an engineering degree is, a number like that is definitely something you're going to pay close attention to. So, let's dig a little deeper into that 98% figure. Looking at the data from the college's own website, we see some of the numbers behind it. They report that over 37 companies came to the campus for recruitment, which resulted in 200 32 job offers being made to their students. Okay, beyond the classrooms and the job opportunities, what's it actually like to be a student here day-to-day? Let's take a quick look at the campus facilities and the kind of support systems they have in place. For students who are planning to move from outside Salem, this is a big one.
