University College of Engineering Ramanathapuram (UCER) is one of the constituent colleges of Anna University Chennai, established in 2008. The college is located in Pullangudi, around 9 km away from Ramanathapuram on East Coast Road (NH 210), and it spreads over 25 acres of land. 

UCER is a co-educational institution with separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. The college currently offers five undergraduate engineering programs: Civil Engineering (in English and Tamil medium), Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering (in English and Tamil medium). Each program has an intake of 60 students. Students are admitted to UCER through the TNEA single window counselling conducted by Anna University Chennai.

The college provides a conducive learning environment and ample opportunities for students to achieve greater heights in their lives. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. UCER aims to impart sound engineering knowledge, skills, and moral values needed for highly challenging, dynamic, and global careers, in line with its mission to serve society by promoting the institution as a center of excellence in technical education and research.
