University College of Engineering, Kariavattom (UCEK) is a government-controlled engineering institution located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Established in 2000, the college is situated in the Golden Jubilee Complex of the University of Kerala's Kariavattom campus, which spans over 350 acres. The college is uniquely positioned as the only constituent college of the University of Kerala and is currently affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.

UCEK offers four-year undergraduate B.Tech programs in three key engineering disciplines: Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), and Information Technology (IT). The college has a total student intake of 185 seats, with 120 seats allocated to CSE and 65 seats combined for IT and ECE. Admission is provided through the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, with half of the seats reserved based on merit.

The institution provides comprehensive student facilities, including a dedicated library that can accommodate 150 users and offers students the ability to borrow up to three books for 15 days. The campus features three strategically located cafeterias for student convenience. In 2023, UCEK was ranked 8th among the best Government Engineering colleges in Kerala, highlighting its academic reputation. Its proximity to Technopark, Kerala's premier IT hub, offers students unique opportunities for industry interaction and potential career development.

Administratively, the college follows a structured governance model with the Governor of Kerala serving as Chancellor, the Minister of Higher Education as Pro-Chancellor, and leadership from the University of Kerala.
