St. Joseph Engineering College (SJEC) is a private engineering institution located in Vamanjoor, Mangaluru, Karnataka. Established in 2002 by the Diocese of Mangalore, SJEC is the only Catholic engineering institute in Mangalore and operates under the guidance of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Mangalore.

As an autonomous institute affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University, SJEC is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The college offers a comprehensive range of academic programs, including undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Engineering, Business Administration, and Computer Applications. Its academic portfolio includes five NBA Accredited B.E. programs: Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Civil Engineering.

The college boasts modern infrastructure with three academic blocks and separate male and female hostels. In 2021, SJEC was granted autonomous status by the UGC and has been accredited with an A+ grade by NAAC, valid until February 2026. Currently, approximately 3,000 students are pursuing their education at the institution. The college emphasizes outcome-based education and has implemented the OBE system since 2011. Additionally, SJEC features a dedicated Campus Placement Department to assist students in securing employment opportunities.
