Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE) is a prominent educational institution located in Mysuru, Karnataka. Conceived in 1963 by His Holiness Jagadguru Lingaikya Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamigalavaru, the college was officially inaugurated by Dr. T.M.A. Pai, the then chairman of the Academy of Education, Manipal.

The college is a constituent college of JSS Science and Technology University and is managed under JSS Mahavidyapeetha. SJCE has been recognized and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). It was granted autonomous status by Visvesvaraya Technological University and has been selected as a Lead Institute for Assistance by the World Bank under the Technical Education Quality Improvement Program (TEQIP).

SJCE boasts a rich academic history, being the first college in Karnataka to introduce Electronics and Communication engineering in 1968. The college subsequently expanded its academic offerings, introducing Bachelor's degrees in Instrumentation (1978), Computer Science and Engineering (1982), and Information Science and Engineering (2000). The campus spans 120 acres and is located adjacent to the University of Mysore campus and the All India Institute of Speech and Hearing.

The institution offers a wide range of academic programs including BE, MTech, MBA, MCA, and PhD in both full-time and part-time modes. Admission to undergraduate programs is based on qualifying exams like KCET and COMED K, while postgraduate programs require a valid PGCET score. In 2022, the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranked SJCE 158th among engineering colleges in India, highlighting its academic reputation and commitment to technical education.
