Sankalchand Patel College of Engineering is located in Visnagar, Gujarat, and is part of Sankalchand Patel University, a private institution established under the Gujarat Private University Act in 2016. The university was founded by the 'Nootan Sarva Vidyalaya Kelavani Mandal (NSVKM)' Trust, inspired by the vision of Shri Sankalchand Patel, a freedom fighter and social activist.

Separate hostel facility is available for boys and girls accommodating 648 and 240 students respectively. Both the hostels have facilities for indoor games such as table tennis, chess and carom. To provide pure and safe drinking water, purifiers and water coolers have also been installed in the hostels.

Well furnished, spacious and OPAC automated library stocked with 30000+ books, 10000 titles, 400 e-journals and magazines along with free internet access. A separate reading room is also provided to the students.
