Rewa Engineering College (REC), formerly known as Government Engineering College (GEC), is an autonomous institute of technology located in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. Established in 1964, the college was initially set up in the Model Science college building and later shifted to its present location, which spans 250 acres.

The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs across multiple engineering disciplines. Its academic departments include Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, and Computer Science Engineering, along with supporting departments of Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. REC has expanded its academic offerings over the years, introducing Electronics Engineering in 1984 and Computer Science Engineering in 2018. For the academic year 2022, the college received AICTE approval to conduct M.Tech courses, adding Thermal Engineering, Transportation Engineering, and Power System specializations.

REC is governed by the Rewa Engineering College Society and operates under the administrative oversight of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya. The institute features several specialized centers, including an IIT Bombay Remote Centre, a Centre of Innovation, Incubation, Entrepreneurship and Industry Relations, and a Training and Placement center. The college initially started with 120 students in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering, and has since grown to become a significant technical education institution in Madhya Pradesh.
