RCC Institute of Information Technology (RCCIIT) is a government-sponsored engineering institute located in Kolkata, West Bengal. Established in 1999, the institute was founded through a collaborative effort between the Government of West Bengal and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.

Initially, the institution began with three academic streams: Bachelor's in Computer Science and Information Technology and Master's in Computer Application. In 2006, the institute expanded its undergraduate offerings by adding Electronics and Communication Engineering. From 2010 onwards, RCCIIT further diversified its academic portfolio by introducing additional streams and master's degree programs in various engineering disciplines.

The college's campus is situated at Canal South Road, Beliaghata, Kolkata-700015, with facilities spread across two locations - an old campus housed in the former Government College of Engineering and Leather Technology campus, and a new campus located approximately 20 metres away. The institute is strategically located, being a 10-minute drive from the East Metropolitan Bypass and within walking distance of the Beliaghata bus stop. RCCIIT is academically affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology and is recognized as one of the top engineering institutes under the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination.

As an autonomous institution under the Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal, RCCIIT operates with partial government funding. The institute has been selected for a TEQIP grant in the government/government-aided category by the World Bank, further highlighting its academic credibility. Currently led by Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Mondal as principal, the institute continues to provide quality technical education in the heart of Kolkata.
