Ramkrishna Mahato Government Engineering College (RKMGEC), located in Purulia, West Bengal, is a government-funded engineering institution that was inaugurated in 2016. Formerly known as Purulia Government Engineering College, the college is fully approved by AICTE and affiliated with the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT).

The college offers four-year undergraduate B.Tech. degree programs across five academic departments: Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Student admission is based on West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) rankings, with a 10% provision for lateral entry through the Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry (JELET).

Situated in Agharpur, approximately 20 km from Purulia town, RKMGEC boasts a serene campus environment that supports an unhazardous learning process. The college provides four hostels - two for male students and two for female students - each with its own mess managed by an elected committee. As the only engineering college in the Purulia district, RKMGEC is committed to supporting the local community through free coaching, career counseling, literacy campaigns, and various cultural and sports activities.
