PSN Engineering College is located in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu and was established in 2001 as an educational institution. The college offers 9 undergraduate and 8 postgraduate engineering programs, and 5 of its departments are recognized as research centers by Anna University, Chennai. 

In 2012, the college became autonomous and was accredited by NAAC. The college has made consistent efforts to fulfill its social responsibilities, providing opportunities for rural and first-generation learners to pursue higher education and achieve professional and economic success. The establishment of the college has also created job opportunities for the local community.

The college is distinctive in its focus on technological development and student welfare. It has established several Centers of Excellence, including the PSN Bosch Rexroth Centre of Excellence in Automation Technologies, the PSN Intel Centre of Excellence, and the 3D Printing Technology Enhanced Centre. These centers provide state-of-the-art facilities, training, and industry collaboration to enhance the multidisciplinary knowledge and skills of students and faculty.
