National Institute of Technology, Agartala has made staying of girls students in the hostel mandatory from the year 2012-13. There are 3 other hostels which have a total seat capacity of 340 and construction of another 1500 capacity hostel is going on.

The central library of the Institute (NITA) has well-facilitated reading room, back volume section, indexing and reference section, OPAC facility and more than 84323 books & 200 journals. NITA subscribes to various e-resources from time to time.  The Library of the Institute is equipped with the latest RFID systems and dedicated digital section with online access to numerous international journals of repute and ebooks from different online portals and subjects to quench the needs of our students and researchers.

The Institute runs private bus services from Agartala to Institute campus and back during working hours and in cases of an emergency adequate number of buses, jeeps and private vehicles are available on NH-44 for traveling from Agartala. It is mandatory for all students to avail bus facility from Agartala to Institute Campus, however, on special grounds some relaxation may be given to students.
