MVJ College of Engineering (MVJCE) is a private autonomous engineering college located in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Established in 1982 by the Venkatesha Education Society, the college was founded by Dr. M. V. Jayaraman and has grown significantly since its inception. Initially starting with four undergraduate disciplines and an intake of 200 students, MVJCE now offers a comprehensive range of academic programs, including 15 undergraduate programs, 8 postgraduate programs, and Ph.D. programs across various engineering and management disciplines.

The college is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Situated on a 15-acre campus in Whitefield, Bangalore, MVJCE boasts impressive infrastructure, including a 500,000 square foot campus with modern facilities. The central library spans 17,000 square feet and houses over 50,000 books, with subscriptions to more than 120 national and international journals and 200 e-journals.

MVJCE has gained recognition for its academic excellence and student achievements. The college is ranked among the top engineering colleges under VTU and has been recognized as the 84th top private technical school by Data Quest in 2023. The institution prides itself on its placement record, generating over 700 job offers annually from leading multinational companies. Its departments, particularly Electronics and Communication and Mechanical Engineering, have garnered significant recognition, with the Robotics Lab winning over 200 competitions and students developing innovative projects like a 'Tricycle that runs on water' and a 'Go-Kart'.

The college provides comprehensive student support, including hostel facilities for both male and female students, and focuses on holistic development. Cafeteria

There is a hygienic, multi-cuisine vegetarian canteen for both resident students and day scholars. A leading café chain has set up its operations on campus to offer variety with coffees, sandwiches, pastries, etc.

The air-conditioned fitness center at MVJCE offers the latest cardio and weight training equipment to its faculty and students. It also has dedicated shower and locker room facilities for both men and women.

The hostel offers supporting infrastructure includes a dedicated cafeteria, laundry services, an on-campus ATM, gym, 24-hour power supply, STD & ISD facilities, transport, housekeeping and medical care.

In-Campus Hostel

A fully automated central library has a collection over 60,000 books and other documents. The Library subscribes to more than 60 national, international journals and more than 2000 e-Journals through the INDEST-AICTE Consortium – IEL. MVJCE also publishes an online MVJCE journal which covers the activities of R&D in engineering, science and technology management.

There is also a dedicated space for indoor sports such as Table Tennis, Badminton, Weight Lifting, Power Lifting, Chess, and Caroms. Large playing fields support a wide variety of games, such as Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Hockey and Kho-Kho.
