MBM Engineering College, located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, is a government institution with a rich history of technical education. Established on 15 August 1951, the college was founded through generous donations from Seth Ramcooverji Bangur and the Hanwant Benevolent Fund. Initially started in Ugamji's bungalow near the railway over bridge, the college later moved to its present location, which spans an impressive 92,000 square meters.

The college has a long-standing tradition of offering diverse engineering programs. It began with a three-year bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a two-year diploma course, initially admitting 35 students. Over the decades, MBM Engineering College expanded its academic offerings significantly. By 1958, it had introduced bachelor's degrees in electrical and mechanical engineering, and by 1966, it started offering master's degrees in civil, electrical, mechanical, and mining engineering.

MBM continued to grow its academic portfolio throughout subsequent decades. In 1972, it introduced electronics and communication engineering, and by 1990, added computer science, engineering, and production and industrial engineering programs. The college also diversified into other technical fields, launching a chemical engineering degree and Bachelor of Architecture in 1998, and even introducing a postgraduate diploma in stone technology in 1999. In September 2021, the institution was upgraded to a full public state university, now known as M.B.M. University, marking a significant milestone in its academic journey.
