LBS Institute of Technology for Women (LBSITW) is a pioneering government engineering college located in the heart of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Established on October 30, 2001, it holds the distinction of being the first engineering college exclusively for women in the state of Kerala, situated on the Malabar Coast of southwestern India.

As a government undertaking, the institute is managed by the LBS Centre for Science and Technology and is currently led by Prof. M Abdul Rahiman, who serves as both the Principal and Director of the parent organization. The college is officially approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated with the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.

Located in the Poojapura area of Thiruvananthapuram city, LBSITW is unique in being the only government-sector engineering college for women in Kerala. The institution is administered by a governing body with a notable leadership structure, where the Honorable Chief Minister serves as the Chairman and the Honorable Minister of Education acts as the Vice-Chairman. This administrative setup underscores the state's commitment to technical education for women in the region.
