L.D. College of Engineering (LDCE), located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is a prominent technical institution with a rich history dating back to 1948. Founded through a generous donation of Rs. 25 lakhs and 31.2 hectares of land by textile magnate Kasturbhai Lalbhai, the college was named after his father, Lalbhai Dalpatbhai. Initially starting with 75 students in Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical undergraduate programs, the college was originally affiliated with Bombay University and later Gujarat University.

Today, LDCE offers an extensive range of academic programs, including 16 undergraduate and 14 postgraduate programs. The college's diverse academic departments cover fields such as Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Robotics and Automation, and specialized areas like Textile Technology and Plastic Technology. Students can pursue full-time degree programs in disciplines including Automobile Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Information Technology.
