The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at KITE was established in 2008 with the vision of developing competent professionals to meet global engineering challenges. The department offers a 4-year B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering program with a sanctioned intake of 120 students, as well as an M.E. Applied Electronics program with a sanctioned intake of 9 students and a Ph.D. program.

The college's laboratories are equipped with the latest technology in fields such as Electronic Devices and Circuits, Digital Electronics, Linear Integrated Circuits, Microprocessors and Microcontrollers, Digital Signal Processing, Communication Systems, VLSI, Embedded Systems, and Optical Microwave.
