Jawaharlal Nehru Government Engineering College (JNGEC) is a government-funded engineering institute located in Sundernagar, Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. Established in 2006 and approved by AICTE, the college is affiliated with Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HimTU) and has been providing quality technical education since its first batch graduated in June 2010.

The college offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate programs, including 4-year B.Tech degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Textile Engineering, and Computer Science Engineering with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Additionally, the institution provides a 2-year M.Tech program in Civil Engineering, focusing on Construction Engineering & Management.

Spread across 2.6726 hectares, the JNGEC campus is strategically located 2 kilometers from NH-21 and 2 kilometers from the Sundernagar bus stand. The campus infrastructure includes five distinct blocks: an Administrative 'A' block, academic blocks 'B', 'C', 'D', and a Workshop Block 'E'. The college has recently started a Boys Hostel in 2023, with a Girls Hostel currently under construction.

Admissions to the college are conducted through JEE MAIN and the CET exam by Himachal Pradesh Technical University. The college follows a unique admission policy where 85% of seats are reserved for Himachal Pradesh candidates, and 15% are allocated to the all-India quota. With a capacity to admit 240 students (60 in each department), the college also provides 20% lateral entry seats and offers a tuition fee waiver scheme for eligible students.
