The Institute of Science and Technology (IST) is a private engineering and management-oriented institution located in Midnapore, West Bengal. Situated 18 km from Prayag Film City and beside State Highway 4 in the outskirts of Chandrakona Town, the college campus spans 20 acres and features comprehensive facilities including administrative blocks, academic spaces, training and placement cells, resource centers, workshops, laboratories, a food court, playgrounds, and hostel accommodations.

IST offers a diverse range of academic programs across multiple disciplines. At the undergraduate level, students can pursue B.Tech degrees in various engineering and technological fields, along with Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), and Bachelor of Hospital Management (BHM). Postgraduate options include M.Tech and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degrees. The institute also provides diploma studies in engineering through its polytechnic programs.

Admission to B.Tech courses is conducted through the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination and All India Engineering Entrance Examination (JEE). The institute maintains provisions for direct admission for a limited number of Non-resident Indian and Foreign National students. Recognized by the Directorate of Technical Education, West Bengal, IST is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Technology and approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
