Heritage Institute of Technology (HITK) is a private educational institution located in Kolkata, West Bengal. Situated in the Anandapur area with a full address at Chowbaga Rd, Mundapara, Kolkata, West Bengal 700107, the institute has established itself as a significant technical education center in the region.

Established in September 2000 by a group of industrialists from the information technology and electronics industries, HITK is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. The institute became an autonomous college in 2017 and has been accredited with an 'A' Grade by NAAC as of 12/07/2022. According to the 2022 National Institutional Ranking Framework for Engineering, the college ranked in the 201-250 band.

HITK offers a comprehensive range of academic programs, including undergraduate B.Tech courses and graduate programs such as M.Tech, MBA, and MCA. The institute features multiple engineering departments, including Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and more. All courses are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal.

Beyond academics, the institute has a rich cultural history, previously hosting notable events like Eclecia, an annual cultural festival that featured performances by prominent artists such as KK, Mohit Chauhan, and Sunidhi Chauhan between 2005 and 2017. The institute also maintained a Students' Council that organized various campus activities and events prior to 2019.

Heritage Institute of Technology, Library comprises of the Central Library, MCA Library and Departmental Libraries under the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. It is housed in a large air-conditioned hall of 20,000 sq. ft.(approx.) with sufficient seating space for reading. It has a collection of 6152 titles, 295 Subscribed Journals and Magazines (printed) and online subscriptions to IEEE(ASPP), JET, JSMS, ASTM Digital Library, RMIT, SAGE-online, HBR-online, DEL-NET & NPTEL.

The College provides excellent facilities for outdoor games and sports like cricket, football, volleyball and golf to enhance sports spirit in students and enable them to adhere the physical fitness in every aspect.
