Government Mahila Engineering College (GMEC) is a pioneering public engineering institution dedicated exclusively to women's technical education, located in Ajmer, Rajasthan. Established in 2007 by the Government of Rajasthan, the college holds the distinction of being the first government engineering college for women in North India.

Situated on Nasirabad Road in Makhupura, the college campus spans approximately 30-40 acres and is strategically located about 11 km from Pushkar. The campus is well-equipped with modern facilities including classrooms, laboratories, a library, hostels, seminar halls, sports areas, and student amenities like a canteen and college buses.

GMEC offers a comprehensive range of academic programs, including undergraduate (B.Tech) and postgraduate (M.Tech and MCA) courses in various engineering and computer science disciplines. The college's undergraduate programs include Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), which focuses on computer programming, software development, algorithms, data structures, and artificial intelligence. Admissions for B.Tech courses are conducted through the Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP), while MCA admissions are managed through RMCAAP.

The institution is officially affiliated with Bikaner Technical University and has received approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), ensuring high-quality technical education for women. Its primary mission is to increase women's participation in engineering and related technical fields, providing a supportive and comprehensive educational environment for aspiring female engineers.
