Government Engineering College, Erode is a private engineering college located in Erode, Tamil Nadu. It is affiliated with Anna University Chennai, a premier technical university in the state.

The college was established in 1984 under the Institute of Road and Transport by the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation. In 2021, the college was transferred to the governance of the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) and subsequently renamed as Government College of Engineering, Erode.

The college is situated on a sprawling 200-acre lush green campus between Chithode and Bhavani in Erode district, providing a congenial atmosphere for technical education. It is well-known for its technical excellence, modern facilities, research activities, good academic performance, and strong placement record with high salary packages. The college has excellent infrastructure, well-equipped laboratories, a library, and highly qualified and experienced faculty members. It also serves as the Zonal Headquarters for Zone-XI (Erode Zone) of Anna University, monitoring the engineering colleges affiliated with the university in Erode district and parts of Namakkal, Tiruppur, and Salem districts.
