The Government College of Technology (GCT) in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu is a premier engineering institution in the country. Formerly known as the Arthur Hope College of Technology, GCT was established in July 1945 and has since made significant contributions to academic and technological developments.

GCT is a government-funded autonomous college affiliated with Anna University Chennai. The institute offers ten undergraduate and eleven postgraduate programs, with recognized research supervisors available for Ph.D. studies across all branches. GCT has well-qualified faculty members and excellent infrastructure facilities, including two centers of excellence funded by the World Bank under the TEQIP program.

The college has received several accolades over the years, including the Best College Award from the Government of Tamil Nadu in 2010 and the Green Campus of the Year 2013 award.
