Government College of Engineering and Research, Avasari (GCOEARA) is a state government engineering college located in Pune Division, Maharashtra. Established in June 2009, the college is situated approximately 62 km north of Pune on the Nashik-Pune National Highway (NH-60), with a sprawling 50-acre campus that includes academic buildings, administrative facilities, workshops, and residential zones for faculty and students.

The college offers multiple engineering departments, including Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications, Automobile Engineering, and Instrumentation and Control. Each department provides specialized programs and opportunities for students. For instance, the Computer Engineering department features a student organization called COMPSA and a Hackathon Club established in 2018, while the Mechanical Engineering department has a track record of students working in companies like Volkswagen and pursuing higher studies at prestigious institutions like IITs and NITs.

GCOEARA is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University. The institute is controlled by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra.
