Darbhanga College of Engineering (DCE) is a government-owned engineering institution located in Mabbi Belauna, Bihar. The college has a rich history, previously known as Jagannath Mishra Institute of Technology (JMIT) before being renamed in 2008 under Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU). The original property was constructed in 1935 by M/s Bhambhri & Co. Ahmedabad as an earthquake-proof construction, initially owned by Late Sri Jyoti Prasad Singh Ji of HariharPur Estate.

The college offers undergraduate engineering programs in multiple disciplines, including Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Civil Engineering. Admissions from 2019 onwards are conducted through the national-level JEE (Mains) merit list, with students required to appear for the exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The college also provides 12 seats for 'Lateral Entry' for diploma holder students, allowing direct admission to the second year through a special examination conducted from April to July.

DCE has undergone several administrative changes, becoming a member of the AKU Family until 15 March 2023, after which it became part of the BEU Family. The institution continues to provide technical education and opportunities for students seeking engineering degrees in Bihar.
