D. Y. Patil College of Engineering and Technology is a private educational institution located in Kasaba Bawada, Kolhapur, Maharashtra. The college was established in 1984 under the visionary leadership of Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil, who was a former Governor of Tripura, Bihar, and West Bengal.

The institution has a rich history connected to prominent political figures, including the late Hon. Vasantrao Dada Patil, a former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, who played a significant role in the college's founding. In 2020, the college achieved a notable milestone when UGC, New Delhi and Shivaji University, Kolhapur conferred autonomous status to the institution.

D. Y. Patil College of Engineering and Technology offers a diverse range of academic programs across multiple engineering disciplines. The library is having Membership with INDEST AICTE and DELNET, New Delhi for Inter Library Loan, Reference facility, and Document delivery services. Library issue 50+ book sets under book bank scheme to SC / ST students (Free sets) every year and provides study room facility during normal and extended hours.
