The College of Engineering, Trivandrum (CET) is a prestigious government engineering institution located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Founded on 3 July 1939 by the Travancore monarch Chithira Thirunal, it stands as the state's oldest technical institution. Initially established with an intake of 21 students in Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering, the college has grown significantly over the decades.

Currently affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, CET boasts a sprawling 125-acre campus in Kulathoor, near Sreekariyam. The campus features a distinctive main building designed to resemble a spanner when viewed from above, surrounded by departmental buildings, laboratories, a library, hostels, a planetarium, and other modern facilities. The institution is renowned for its green campus and has received accolades from environmentalists.

Today, CET offers a comprehensive range of academic programs, including nine undergraduate programmes, 29 postgraduate programmes, MBA, MCA, and doctoral programs. The college supports approximately 5,000 students with a faculty of 300 members and 300 technical and ministerial staff. In the 2025 NIRF Rankings, CET is positioned in the 101-150 band for Engineering and ranked 15th in Architecture. The college's vision focuses on achieving national excellence and international visibility in engineering education, with a mission to provide transformative education, foster technological innovations, and develop responsible professionals.
