The Cluster Innovation Centre (DU CIC) is a government-funded center established under the University of Delhi in 2011. Founded by Prof. Dinesh Singh during his tenure as Vice Chancellor, the center was conceptualized as a prototype for university innovation centers across India, with a mission to foster innovation and connect academic research with practical applications.

CIC offers unique interdisciplinary academic programs across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. Its undergraduate offerings include a distinctive four-year Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Information Technology and Mathematical Innovations, which integrates mathematics and information technology to cultivate an innovation-driven mindset. Students can earn minor degrees in fields like electronics, management, or computational biology. Another notable program is the four-year Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Humanities and Social Sciences, which allows students to design personalized degrees in areas such as environmental science, tourism, geography, literature, media studies, natural sciences, and psychology.

The center's primary objectives include promoting innovative degree programs, supporting application-oriented research, and facilitating collaborations with industries, academia, and other stakeholders. CIC emphasizes practical learning by encouraging student projects that address real-world societal challenges, often in partnership with organizations like the Delhi Jal Board, Delhi Police, and National Association of the Deaf. By focusing on developing affordable and sustainable innovations, the Cluster Innovation Centre aims to create meaningful connections between academic research and societal needs.
