Barak Valley Engineering College is a government engineering institution located in Mahakal Pt VII, Bhanga Bazaar, Karimganj, Assam. Established as the first state government engineering college in the Barak valley region, the college was initiated in 2009 and began full operations in 2017 under the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam.

The college is affiliated with Gauhati University and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Its mission focuses on developing highly competent technical professionals who can think creatively, solve complex problems, and create innovative designs for the rapidly changing technological landscape. The institution aims to prepare engineers who can adapt to and drive social and technological transformations.

Barak Valley Engineering College offers a comprehensive engineering education with facilities including a library and sports activities. The campus is conveniently connected to the National Highway via PWD rural roads, providing easy accessibility.
