Bankura Unnayani Institute of Engineering (BUIE) is a private engineering college located in Puabagan, West Bengal. Established in 1998, it holds the distinction of being the first engineering college in the Bankura district. The institute is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology and has received approvals from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Department of Higher Education.

BUIE offers a comprehensive range of academic programs, including seven undergraduate courses and multiple postgraduate degree programs in engineering and technology disciplines. The college has been supported by the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP-II) and has been recognized with ISO 9001:2008 certification. Its campus spans 11.16 acres for the institute and an additional 31 acres for hostel facilities, providing students with a spacious learning environment.

The institute is currently led by Chairman Sasanka Dutta and Principal Krishnendu Adhvaryu.
